Natalie joined Sun & Partners as an Articling Student in January 2018 after earning her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017. She was called to the Bar and promoted to Partner in December 2022. Her practice is built on extensive family law litigation experience dating back to 2013, when she began working in the field as a legal assistant and summer student.
During law school, Natalie volunteered with the Barbara Schlifer Commemorative Clinic as a Family Court Support Worker, assisting survivors of domestic violence in accessing legal and community resources. Born in Singapore, she is fluent in English and Mandarin, which enables her to serve a diverse client base effectively.
Natalie has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal and successfully obtained a favourable decision for her client. This experience reflects her ability to handle high-stakes, complex legal issues at the appellate level and to craft persuasive written and oral arguments for senior courts.
Her court materials have been published in Litigator, a Thomson Reuters publication, underscoring the quality and strategic value of her written advocacy.
In addition to courtroom litigation, Natalie regularly attends and participates in arbitration and mediation proceedings. This work allows her to pursue efficient, cost-effective resolutions for clients while maintaining strong advocacy and negotiation positions throughout the dispute-resolution process.
